Steller Motorsport set for CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa

Steller Motorsport is set to head to the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and the 2025 CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, which forms round three of this year’s GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup.

With its Corvette Z06 GT3.R, the team arrives full of optimism, having completed a productive two-day test at the official Prologue in May - and, more recently, a single-day test at its local Silverstone circuit - where more valuable mileage and data was gathered. The team’s regular Endurance Cup lineup, comprising Matisse Lismont, Lorcan Hanafin, and Daniel Ali, will be bolstered by the addition of Dutch talent Olivier Hart, a proven driver with experience in GT and endurance racing.

Team manager Max Daymond, said, “We’re going to Spa and the 24-hour feeling confident. One of the biggest challenges this season is debuting a new car at circuits where we’ve had very little to no testing. However, we’ve shown what we can achieve when we’re starting from a level playing field with the podium at Paul Ricard, somewhere that we’d been able to rack up the mileage in preseason. Similarly, we had a good two-day test at Spa last month and learned more about the car and how to set it up for somewhere as unique as Spa is. As a result we’re coming in with a solid base setting that we're confident we can build on from the first free practice session.

“The CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa is a special event in the calendar and the one that you really want to do well in and perform strongly for. Endurance racing is always unpredictable, even in three and six-hour races, so we’re expecting plenty of things to challenge us throughout the 24 hours, but that’s why we all love endurance racing, and as well as confidence in our car, I have every confidence in our driver lineup and ourselves, as a team, to make the right calls when it comes to our strategy, too.”

Olivier Hart said ahead of his Steller race debut, "I am more than excited to join Steller Motorsport for one of the biggest GT races in the world. I have raced at Spa-Francorchamps many times and enjoyed some success, and I cannot wait to tackle this hard and exhausting race again. We've got to race smart, endurance racing can throw a lot at you, but, given our Corvette's strength during the prologue, I'm heading to the Ardennes with high hopes for a great first race with this incredible group of people."

Lorcan Hanafin said, "I am really looking forward to the 24 hours of Spa. We've had an encouraging couple of endurance races with the Corvette and we showed some good pace at the prologue. Keeping it clean and avoiding mistakes will be the key to getting a good result, but I'm confident we can deliver a strong performance."

Daniel Ali commented ahead of his first 24-hour race, "It's really exciting to be heading into the 24-hour with the Corvette and Steller Motorsport. We had a promising prologue and there were plenty of positives to take from Monza, and I know we have the experience and speed to challenge for a good result. This is my first 24-hour race and so I will have a lot to learn but I am ready for one of the most challenging and prestigious racing events in the world."

Home hero, Matisse Lismont, commented. "My home race of the season, so, like always, I am very much looking forward to it; it's an iconic track, an iconic event, and with iconic GT cars driving for 24 hours straight in the infamous Spa weather it is always a special feeling. I'm feeling good, and ready to get going."

Set against the backdrop of the Belgian Ardennes, Spa-Francorchamps represents a crown jewel in the world of GT3 racing, with the 7km circuit famous for its fast elevation changes and unpredictable weather. The event’s opening parade takes place at 18:00 on Wednesday 25 June, with free practice, qualifying, and night practice running on Thursday 26 June. Friday sees superpole and warm-up, with the race beginning 16:30 on Saturday 28 June.
