Steller Motorsport wraps up 2025 season in Barcelona
Steller Motorsport wrapped up its 2025 season at the final GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS round of the year, which took place at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on 10-12 October. In an incident-packed three-hour race the team took 14th in the Silver class.
Making its debut in the series, 2025 was always set to be a learning year for the Steller Motorsport team, as it also got to grips with its new Z06 GT3.R, after making the switch to Corvette for this season.
Contesting a full Endurance Cup campaign and making select Sprint Cup appearances, there were plenty of positives to take from the season, starting with a class podium at the season-opening six-hour race at Paul Ricard, France.
In addition, the team showed its pace with a P3 in Q2 at Zandvoort, completed its first-ever CrowdStrike 24-Hours of Spa, and took a number of top-10 class finishes.
In April, the team also fielded its Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II at the prestigious Silverstone 500, taking victory in the Silver category.
Team manager, Max Daymond, reflected on the year, saying, “There have been a lot of positives to take from a year that was always going to have its challenges for us as a team. We had a lot to learn with a new car, what its strengths are, and how to set it up to try and exploit them. Add to that we were visiting some of these circuits for the first time and it’s to be expected that there would be some learning to do. However, there were plenty of things to celebrate, too. We showed good pace on a lot of occasions, and, of course, to take a podium finish in our debut year in GT World Challenge was a real highlight. Now, we’ll reset over winter, look at what we can improve on, and come back stronger in 2026.”
